[性状] 白色粉末。能溶于水，不溶于醇。能还原裴林氏溶液。在1mol/L盐酸中,100℃,2小时水解59%.

旋光度：[α]_D²⁰=+16.54(钡盐,3.35%, 0.226N盐酸中)

        [α]_D²⁰=+22.8(0.02mol/L盐酸)

[用途] 生化研究。
