¡¡
Nucleotides were mainly used
as intermediate of medicine, functional food and food additive. Biochemistry
medicine, such as ATP, cAMP and S-adenosylmethionine, could be produced from
5'-AMP. 5¡¯-GMPNa2 has special Ïã¹½flavor and
can be used to produce especial delicious ajinomoto and kinds of seasonings.
Cytidine diphosphate choline, CTP, Ara-C and polyinosylcytidine can be prepared
from 5¡¯-CMP.
5¡¯-UMP,which has important physiological function, takes
part in biosynthesis of glucuronide, a detoxifcation compound in liver. Also, it
can be used to produce UTP,
polyadenosyluridne,
UDP-glucose,and ddI. Recently nucleotides were
added to baby milk powder in Europe, in America and in Japan. It's reported that
it possibly was beneficial to baby's immunity. Therefore nucleotides, mixed with
single high refined nucleotide according to some ratio, could be used to
functional foods.
Explanation of Technique
There's many virtue in the
technique, such as high technique, new process, high yield, low cost, good
quality and little pollution. The key technology of seperation had been applied
to patent and authenticated by Shangdong Technology Committee. The process was
original in the state. The charateristic could be summarized as follow three
items.
1£®The cost of enzyme and investment decreased
10-15% through improvement on enzyme producing and enzyme catalyze reaction.
There was no waste water released in the process of enzyme producing. Conversion
yield increased 10-15%. Side reaction was reduced. So basis was established to
obtaine high purified nucleotides.
2£®High purified nucleotides could be once
recoveried through seriation combination of new ion exchange resin. The effusion
from column was concentrated and crystallized. The quality of products could
attain to above 98%.
3£®New process resolved lots of disfigurement of
old process in state, such as low conversion yield, low harvest, high cost and
difficulty to scale-up production. The level of technology and the quality of
products achieved advanced internationally.
Market Analysis
Enzymatic production of
5'-nucleotides from RNA is the primary process. The products and technique of
5'-nucleotides were cornered by Japan which has quantity of 5 kiloton/year. A
little was produced in China. As recent years pharmacy of nucleic acid and
Function food growed and springed up, Nucleotides shorted up a lot. AMP, CMP and
UMP, not exported in Japan, were used to produce nucleic acid pharmacy except
that IMP and GMP were exported as food additives.
Not only 5'-nucleotides were demanded great nationally, but also developed
countries in America and Europe expected to obtain nucleotides from China.
Output and demand of four 5'-nucleotides were reviewed as follow:

AMP£º22 ton/year.
AMP was mainly used to prepare ATP and cAMP.
ATP,chemistry
name as adenosine triphosphate, a high energy compound in organism, was
intituled as currency energy coin in cells, and could be used as pharmacy to
cure or assistant cure sweeny atrophy, block of miocardial infarction, hepatitis
and other first-aid disease. Recently ATP alse was used as healthy food to
increase level of body's energy in athlete or pharmacy to prevent block of
miocardial infarction in old men. Very year 50T ATP had to be imported in our
country and millions of foreign exchange had to be used. So AMP becamed a kind
of short-up product and its price increased to $300/kg from $100/Kg.
2£®
GMP£º30ton/year.
As food additives, GMP were mainly imported to our country. Every year flavor
nucleotides,

ton IMP+GMP were imported from Japan.

CMP£º18ton/year.
CMP were mainly used to produce CDP-C, Polyinosylcytidine and CTP.
Although the technique of production CDP-C was
matured, every year 20ton of CMP had to be imported because of lack.

UMP£º30ton/year¡£The
product could be used to produce many kinds of pharmacy. UMP were mainly
exported.
Cost checking and Economic analysis
The mail material's cost is
RNA.
200t/year RNA were needed according to 50% yield. According to its top price of
£¤200/kg, the cost of RNA was $5,000,000/year. The whole cost of water,
electricity, steam, enzyme, acid and alkali was less than $1,200,000/year. If
average price of four nucleotides was calculated as $120/Kg, the whole
production value of 100T/year would reach to $10,000,000/year.
The tax was estimated to

Risk analysis
Currency technique was
matured and authenticated by Shandong Technology Committee. We succeeded in
scale-up producing in Shangdong province. The products of nucleotides prepared
by us had been exported to Europe and approbated by foreign merchants. The
amout of export was estimated to 50T/year and would increas in future. 100T/year nucleotides were needed in the state. So
the market foreground of Nucleotides was very good.
The investment of whole project was about $4,000,000. The production value would
be $10 million. The disinvestment would be complete in 1-2 year.
The main material is RNA, but
about 400T/year were prduced in our country. The material was no problem because
there was not a factory that could produce large amount of nucleotides.
